Dosanseowon(Togye-ri, Dosan-myeon, Andong-si, Historic site No. 170)
Koreas preeminent Confucian scholar, Lee Hwang, otherwise known as Koreas Chu-tzu, established Dosanseodong to devote his life to studying and educating his disciples. After his death, his disciples and scholars established Dosanseowon to commemorate his lofty virtue. In the 8th year of the reign of King Seonjo(1575), a carved tablt written by Han Seokbong, a famous calligrapher of the times, was given to this Sex. Dosanseowon is comprised of Dosanseodang(elementary school), Nongunjeongsa(dormitory), Gwangmyeongshil(library), Jeongyodang(lecture hall), Sangdeoksa(shrine) and Jangpangak(printing block depository). Dosanseowon, bordered by Andong Lake in front and dense pine forests to the rear, creates some lyrical scenery.

Byeongsanseowon(Historic Site No.260)
Originally called Pungakseodang, this school was relocated here from Pungsan-Hyeon in the 5th year of the reign of King Seonjo(1572) by Ryu Seongryong to train disciples. In 1614, Confucian scholars erected a memorial tablet to Ryu to commemorate his scholastic achievements and knowledge, thereby making this a famous seowon. Beyond Mt. Hwa from Hahoe Village, Byeongsanseowon, standing opposite a rock cliff encircled by the Nakdong River, boasts its beautiful scenery and excellent architecture.

Sangdeoksa(shrine) (Treasure No.211)
This is a holy place enshrining memorial tablets to the great scholar Lee Hwang and his disciple Jo Mok, and is the site of annual ceremonies every February and August.
Jeongyodang(lecture hall) (Treasure No.210)
In this hall of Dosanseowon hangs a carved tablet bearing the words of the famed calligrapher Han Seokbong.
Dosanseodang(elementary school)
This academy in which Lee Hwang educated his disciples is the oldest builing in Dosanseowon, well featuring Lees practical knowledge and frugal lifestyle.
This library stands parallel both to the right and left of the main gate of Dosanseowon. It holds more than 5,000 volumes of 1,300 kinds of books, including selected works by Lee Hwang.
This together with Dosanseodang, is the areas oldest building. It was built in a shape of ' I ', meaning studying, to encourage his disciples to study hard.
Sisadan(Tangible Cultural Property No.33)
This was a place for the special test, Dosanbyeolgwa. Jeongjo, the 22nd king of the Joseon Dynasty, who was deeply touched by Lee Hwang, established this building to honor Lee and encourage local scholars.
Toegyejongtaek(Toegye-ri, Dosan-myeon, Andong-si, Monument No.42)
This head house of the family clan was restored in 1929 by a 13th generation offspring of Lee Hwang. This square-type building has six-kan (room) in front and 5kan on the side, and a tall front gate.
Toegyetaeshil(Onhye-ri, Dosan-myeon, Andong-si, Folkore Material No.60)
In a room, highly located at the center of the house, was born Lee Hwang(penname Toegye), thereby calling it Toegye Taeshil(placenta room). This building represents typical characteristics of an aristocrats house during the Joseon Dynasty.
